Aviator Tracey Curtis-Taylor lands in Gwadar, says it an ‘overwhelming reception’

The British aviator Tracey Curtis-Taylor is well known for her daredevils and paying tribute to the female aviators of the past, in recent  activity she is embarking a 13,000 miles to pay homage to the pioneering female English aviator Amy Johnson, who is also highly regarded for her work in 1930’s as she was the first female pilot to fly alone from Britain to Australia.

Tracey Curtis-Taylor remembering the courage and professionalism of Amy Johnson decided to fly 13,000 miles across 23 countries in an open cockpit vintage biplane. It is also said that the British aviator will be ending her epic journey on January 5, 2016, which will be the 75th  death anniversary of the great Johnson.

This is not the very first time when the 53-years-old British aviator is paying tribute to the great female aviator of the past, earlier in 2013 she also recreated Lady Mary Health’s historic 1920’s flight to pay her homage.

And her current journey ‘Great Britain to Australia 2015- Bird in a Birdplane’ started on October 1. Yesterday, the renowned aviator arrived in Gwadar and it seems she was quite impressive with the reception she got by the Pakistan Air Force.

Earlier, PAF spokesperson told about Taylor’s arrival to Pakistan and also mentioned she will be received by Squadron leader Saira Batool, a lady pilot of Pakistan Air Force.

And after British aviator’s visit to Gawadar, she also posted her experience of being in Gwadar, Pakistan. She via her Facebook and Twiter account posted that ” Overwhelming reception in #Gwadar. Unbelievable welcome by C-47 and honoured to meet Air Force pilot Saira and now high on cliffs overlooking the Arabian Sea. Blown away by it all #GbtoOZ UK in Pakistan Engro Corp #GbtoOZ”.
