All schools in Punjab to remain close from 26-31 January, Punjab Government announces

Late on Monday night, the Punjab Government has announced holidays for all of the schools in Punjab, including private schools. According to the updates, this move is initiated due to low temperatures and fog in the province.

Under this announcement, all the schools will remain closed from 26-31 January. Here ii is also told that these holidays were announced after the sudden fall in temperature throughout the province. The other issue behind announcing the unoriented vacations was the fog, which is ruling nowadays across the province and is making the children ill.

Sources, also told that the circular in this regard has been released and all the schools of the province are strictly instructed to follow the announcement.

Under this announcement, the schools will reopen from 1st February. A reliable source have also claimed that from the last week the attendance of students have been quite low and most of the students were absent after they got sick due to severe cold.

Here it should also be kept mentioned that the regular winter vacations of 2015-2016 have earlier taken place which lasted from 24-31 December, according to the Punjab government circular. But now the move is made after the temperature has suddenly fell quite low.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. Foggy conditions would continue over most plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.

In next 48 hours scattered rain is also expected in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal divisions).
