You might be wondering that how making the cheapest Smartphone can land the makers in trouble, but that has happened, although this isn’t because the new initiative was providing relief to the people, the actual reason behind is that with some strong indications it seems that it is one of the most scammiest production till the date.

Those who weren’t active to get all the buzz should get in their minds that it all started several days back, when a rarely known Indian company, Ringing Bells got in the limelight with the announcement of launching the ‘World’s Cheapest Smartphone’ named Freedom 251. The news within no time spread as the fire in a bush, which further resulted in the crash of website given for ordering of the smartphone.

Despite the serious concerns of Techos residing in India and internationally, the local people showed keen interest in the World’s cheapest smartphone. This can be further exemplified as Millions of people got their registrations for the phone and with hours after the company unveiled about the project, the site got crashed due to huge visitors on it. Although, later the trouble was fixed but still then the technical evidence of getting a phone in INR 251 was a shocker for many.

Before the rise of this Freedom 251 the cheapest smartphone available in Indian market costs around INR 1500, the huge difference between the battle of cheapest also made local curious to get a hand on Freedom 251.

It was all going the way as the Noida-based company wanted but amid all this a controversy rose up which made famous Freedom 251 infamous within no time.

Ringing Bells changed the design of the smartphone shortly after enticing the viewers with a perfectly designed smartphone. But this even wasn’t able to hurl them in controversy.

The point which went against them was,  when they gave the samples/prototype of the phone to the media representatives. The representatives getting into it got that they were the Chinese made Adcom phones, whose logos were just covered by using the whitener. After this, some serious concerns were witnessed as Ringing Bells promised Made in India Phone, whereas it was a Chinese phone just covered its logo with simple correction fluid.

The next thing which left eyes wide open of the users was that the prototype given of Freedom 251 were Adcom phones which were being sold in the Indian market for $50, so how could the company be getting it around with 1/10 of its cost.

Further, the Indian authorities also revealed that the company has not got any registration of producing this smartphone and most likely it looked a scam without getting the idea that how difficult it would be making a smartphone in a such a tad cost.

Although, so far isn’t sure what will be the future of Freedom 251.
