But to get his film reach on to more audience,  Karan Johar has added up Fawad role in the film alongside some other big wigs of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Earlier, Fawad khan himself has negated all such rumors regarding his role as it was said that he’ll be doing a cameo role in the star studded film, the Pakistani star told that he occupies an important role in the film, while talking to Indian media about his role in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil he told: “It’s not exactly a cameo but it becomes a backbone for a certain conflict of a character in the movie. It’s like 15-20 days of work. My role is that of a DJ. So it’s cool. I have tried something new altogether, I am wearing a completely new costume. I wouldn’t mind playing a cool guy character or a complete buffoon as well.”

Although, now Indian media have also confirmed that Fawad’s role in the film is extended by the producer-director of the film Karan Johar.

According to the Indian media, a close source to the production tells us, “Fawad has become a star after Kapoor & Sons. His role, which was more of an extended guest appearance in ADHM has been altered. Now, it won’t just be a cameo, it’s almost as much as Salman’s role in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. So, Fawad will be seen in a supporting role, not a cameo, even in the film credits.”

There are reasons for that too. “Fawad and Karan are extremely close friends now and besides, Fawad is a big draw across the border and in the Middle East. He is a big draw in certain overseas markets, so through him, ADHM will reach a bigger audience.”
