Multan soon to have free Wi-Fi service city-wide

In April 2016 PITB chairman announced that in coming several months Punjab cities, namely Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi to have free Wi-Fi spots city wide.

According to the sources, the day is soon to be coming for Multan to became the Wi-Fi city as The City of Saints to have free Wi-Fi service at 30 spots in Multan by the 1st week of November.

The thing which would be working as icing on the cake is, Multan will also be getting official inauguration of Metro Bus Service in first half of November.

In February 2015 Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif approved  the free of cost public Wi-Fi facility across the province to enhance the information technology sector of the province.

The 30 places to have Wi-Fi service includes Ghanta Ghar, Damdama, Art Council, Kachehri, Vehari Chowk, hospitals and other places.

The free public WiFi would surely be a step forward for the students to get access to the information while even on the move.

The service will launching in the first week of November in Multan.

According to the sources, a single WiFi router would have capacity to supply internet to over 300 people at the specific time.
