All schools in Punjab to remain close from 26-31 January, Punjab Government announces

Late on Monday night, the Punjab Government has announced holidays for all of the schools in Punjab, including private schools. According to the updates, this move is initiated due to low temperatures and fog in the province.

Under this announcement, all the schools will remain closed from 26-31 January. Here ii is also told that these holidays were announced after the sudden fall in temperature throughout the province. The other issue behind announcing the unoriented vacations was the fog, which is ruling nowadays across the province and is making the children ill.

Sources, also told that the circular in this regard has been released and all the schools of the province are strictly instructed to follow the announcement.

Under this announcement, the schools will reopen from 1st February. A reliable source have also claimed that from the last week the attendance of students have been quite low and most of the students were absent after they got sick due to severe cold.

Here it should also be kept mentioned that the regular winter vacations of 2015-2016 have earlier taken place which lasted from 24-31 December, according to the Punjab government circular. But now the move is made after the temperature has suddenly fell quite low.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. Foggy conditions would continue over most plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours.

In next 48 hours scattered rain is also expected in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal divisions).

Winter holidays 2015-2016: Punjab Govt announced vacations from 24-31 December

The Government of Punjab has today announced the schedule of winter vacations and as per the notification, all the school and colleges of the province will remain closed from December 24 to December 31.

The government official further told that all the college and school in the province will be strictly obliging the announcement made by the government and in order to cope with the one not following the instruction will be handled according to the law.

As we yesterday informed you about the winter vacations announcement by the Sindh and Balochistan government. And following it Punjab government has also announced the vacation for the winter season 2015-2016.

Here it should be kept mention that, Sindh Government and Balochistan have yesterday announced the holidays for this winter fall, and today Punjab has announced, although, so far Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government hasn’t announced the vacations.

The winter vacations work as a refreshment for the learning minds, as in normal days they are just restricted to their hectic schedules and with the announcement of vacations they are up with the plans to visit their family members and to explore the never seen before tourism destinations.

Chinese language to be taught in Government schools of Punjab by 2016-17

Pak-China friendship is not something new, it has been up since both the countries rose up on the map. Regardless, who is in the regime, both the countries have always been  with strategy to improve bilateral relations.

The example they have set meets no comparison, despite the hurdles and in harsh times both the countries remain helpful to each other.

In the latest initiative, Pakistan giving proof of this great friendship has decided to teach Chinese subjects in government schools of Punjab. To carry out this activity, 120 educationists would be given professional training so they could teach Chinses Subjects with complete ease.

Here this should be mentioned that Chinese is the most spoken language of the world and China is the one of the leading nation, which have got rapid progress while remaining in their own language. And the project of teaching Pakistani students will be a new success story of both the allies as this will be providing employment opportunities of Pakistanis at international level and regardless all the benefits, this would be increasing harmony between people of Pakistan and China.

According to the sources, the initiative launch of teaching the Chinese language is still in preparatory stages and will soon be applicable.

It is also said that Punjab Government is taking serious steps to launch this initiative and for this reason  120 interested educationists of Punjab will be trained by the Chinese and Pakistani experts and here it is also said that in 2016-2016 the Chinese subjects will be made part of the curriculum of government schools in Punjab.

Project tenure is of five years and will set four main functions:

1- Setting the foundations with the objective of generating and strengthening the capacity of the responsible entities to effectively manage and administer the modernized land records system.

2- Developing and deploying an automated land records system (LRMIS) and performing all other pre-service delivery tasks.

3- Provision of services to the population – with the objective of managing, operating, making accessible land-related information – and incorporating feedback from stakeholders in further elaboration of the system
